Be bold

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.

There is something to be said about having a fire under your 'status.' There is a reason for all your longing, your stirring, your feeling like something needs to be done. Every stage of life, from a moment to an era, has its own urges and these are there for good reason: your gut is trying to tell you something.

Even if it's just to stop, and listen. Slow down, sit and think about it. Paying attention will at the very least reassure you, but more interestingly, it might change your entire direction.

As a designer, I question everything.

Asking 'why' is first nature. Why are you in business? Why are you doing this? Why should I care? Why do you want that? Why do you like this? Why did you choose that colour? Why does it matter?

It's that life is in perpetual motion. Even when nothing seems to be happening. Waiting for the perfect conditions in instances where you know deep down that you need to take action, should only better prepare you to leap. Otherwise, this too will come to pass.

Seize the day. Leap! Flow. Rumble. Declare. Be.

Life is a process, a learning as you go. Yes, you can be prepared, but learning is a life long endeavor. There is always deeper, greater, more to learn. Action is what defines your life. Act and you will see, you will learn, you will taste and satisfy, and you will move on, to deeper, greater knowledge. One little step unfolds the next. Step into it. Start.

Don’t die with your music still in you.
— Wayne Dyer

Write your own story. It's up to you to decide what it is.

In our attempt to get through this life, we question our selves, our abilities and our capacity to get to where we dream to be. Sometimes we fall, we slip, we end up exactly where we hadn't intended. And it's all part of the moving, the going from one place to the other, the renewing and the releasing.

Let go and catch a new star

There is no need to release the dream, the vision. Just let go of the fall, the way that didn't work, try a new way. When there is no way, learn something, speak, ask, investigate... revisit, return, renew. Nothing is achieved by giving up on the dream. And if you do, one day, it will be there like a faint but living flame, gently calling, mysteriously beckoning you to come back. Because a real dream is one that is with you forever.

The real challenge is not to survive. Hell, anyone can do that. It’s to survive as yourself, undiminished.
— Elia Kazan

There is no greater reward.

Even Mother Teresa had hustle. She devoted her life to the hustle. Every moment of every day she gave everything of herself, and in and of itself she loved the hustle.

It's simple

That's the great mystery. The mystery that it isn't a mystery at all. Life is about work. And work is about love. The two create an unmistakable synergy. They are the perfect pair.

Find yourself daydreaming?

Good. Savour it. Play in it. Re-imagine your day. (LOVE) When you come back to reality (WORK) allow the re-acquainting. Let your daydream hone you in on your craft, what matters, the moment, your flow, the output, the end goal.

One day will come.

And when the time comes, you will lay back and playback your beautiful hustle and see that you truly lived.

Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.
— Mother Teresa
